Burns Night

The Conrad Mansion will host a special evening on January 25 to celebrate the life and legacy of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns.

Organized by the Flathead Celtic Festival, the event will feature a three-course traditional Scottish meal, a live reading of Burns’ poetry, and a harp performance. The celebration will take place from 6-9 p.m. and also include a silent auction with exclusive experiences, wine, and whisky. Guests will have the chance to explore the Conrad Mansion, beautifully lit by candlelight.

Robert Burns, who passed away in 1796 at the age of 37, is considered Scotland’s national poet. He is best known for writing in the Scots dialect, with famous poems such as “To a Mouse,” “Address to a Haggis,” “Tam O’Shanter,” “A Red, Red Rose,” and “The Selkirk Grace.” Burns is also credited with writing the lyrics to “Auld Lang Syne,” a popular song sung on New Year’s Eve.

Proceeds from the event will benefit both the Conrad Mansion and the Flathead Celtic Festival, supporting their efforts to preserve and promote cultural heritage.

Reservations are required, and tickets are priced at $100 per person. They can be purchased online through the Conrad Mansion website or Eventbrite.

The Conrad Mansion Museum is located at 330 Woodland Avenue in Kalispell, Montana.
