Join us on Friday, November 15, from 10 AM to noon at the Rosewood Interpretive Center for a morning write-in with Highland Park Poet Laureate Laura Joyce-Hubbard and special guest poet Catherine Barnett.
Spend the morning by the lake, engaging in creative writing. The event will feature selected poems from Barnett’s new collection, recently named one of Publisher’s Weekly’s five best poetry books of 2024. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to free-write in response to the poems, guided by conversation and suggested prompts.
The event is free, but advance registration is encouraged. Participants are asked to bring pen and paper. Signed copies of Barnett’s books will be available for purchase.
