Join us for a unique evening of poetry on Friday, January 24, at 6 p.m., featuring Caitlin Roach and Jeremy Voigt in conversation. The event will be moderated by Jill McCabe Johnson.
Caitlin Roach’s collection Surveille features a queer speaker on the verge of motherhood, caught between awareness and fear. Her poems tackle themes ranging from drone strikes and scorpion eradication to bird behavior, mating deer, and family dynamics, all with a sharp intensity that reveals deep truths.
Jeremy Voigt’s poetry has been published in respected journals like Prairie Schooner, Nimrod, Gulf Coast, and Post Road. He has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and was a runner-up for the 2019 Discovery Poetry Prize.
