Yorkshire Publishing has announced the release of MedEvac, a powerful new poetry collection by veteran and award-winning author Andrew Lafleche.
MedEvac offers a raw and intimate look at the realities of war, personal loss, and recovery. The collection explores the painful experiences of combat in Afghanistan, the emotional toll of divorce, the heartbreak of losing a child, and the struggles of alcoholism. With unflinching honesty, Lafleche reflects on grief, faith, and the search for meaning, using poetry as a tool for self-examination and spiritual healing.
The poems in MedEvac are a must-read for veterans, their families, and anyone dealing with trauma, faith, and resilience. “I wept. These poems, this pain, has been transformed into beautiful tragedy,” says Gerald Arthur Moore, author of Flak Jacket.
Andrew Lafleche, a St. Catharines, Ont. native, served in Operation Enduring Freedom during the Afghanistan War.
