First Friday Event Features Poetry, Art, and Music

Join the First Friday event on December 6 for an evening of locally created poetry, art, and music. The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1007 East Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver.

The evening kicks off at 5 p.m. with poetry readings by Susan Dingle, Derek Klein, Elmo Shade, Tony Blaine, and Emily Ransdell. At 6 p.m., Opera On Tap will serenade guests with holiday tunes. The Vancouver Ballet Folklorico will perform a traditional dance from the state of Michoacán at 7 p.m.

Visitors can also browse artwork in the main gallery, with 100% of sales going directly to the artists. Free sweet treats and hot drinks will be available for all attendees.
