Skilful Minds Wholesome Initiative for Women and Children (SMWIWC) recently held its fourth annual program, “The Breakingforth.”
The event, an inter-school competition, provided a platform for secondary school pupils to display their talents in poetry and spoken word performances.
Damilola Oluwasola, the convener and executive director of SMWIWC, encouraged the students to believe in themselves and stay focused on finding the right path. She emphasized that the organization aims to nurture young talents and offers mentorship through this event each year.
Chijioke Otikpa, a physiotherapist and corporate trainer, delivered a talk titled “Breakingforth Beyond Limits: Leveraging Digital Innovations.” He highlighted the importance of using technology to promote and enhance skills.
Additionally, Mrs. Lawrenta Akhimimen spoke on the theme “Breakingforth Beyond Limits: Challenges as a Young Teenager.” She addressed common limiting beliefs and shared strategies for overcoming them.
